The Story of DoggoDen
As with most dog lovers, we grew up with dogs and have always had them in our lives in one form or another. We've always agreed as husband and wife there's going to be no kids. Only dogs. Lots of dogs. Watching them change and evolve gives us such satisfaction and purpose in life that we could never do anything else.

When we emigrated to Canada from Scotland at the end of 2018, the very first thing we did was buy a truck and a trailer then went pet and farm sitting across Canada, we experienced a new way of life and quickly fit into the culture and lifestyles of fellow Canadians.

In 2019 once we settled down in London, ON, word got out pretty quickly that there was a Scottish couple in town caring for and training dogs, word of mouth spread and we then knew it was the right time to change our career path to be 100% dedicated to dogs. So we sold our cars, bought a minivan, and moved to bigger premises to perfect the art that is training and caring for dogs whilst keeping that "home" feel.

We do not do kennels.
We do Love, Trust, and Respect.

People mostly listen to me because of my accent, until they get used to it, then I fade into background noise like a squeaky toy in a thunderstorm. Thankfully, the dogs always listen. I bounce between not taking myself seriously at all… and taking myself way too seriously. I haven’t figured out the balance yet. I love dark humour, but don’t worry, I save the worst of it for the dogs. They’re better at handling reality than most people.

Laurie
I will talk to anyone... including dogs. We can have engaging conversations sometimes and I think it's completely normal because Pyro told me so.

Jess
I used to overthink everything, spiral, get mad at myself, and feel like a terrible dog owner. Then I met Max, started following his methods... and now I still do all those things, I just keep it to myself like a professional.

Tory
It's great being in a daycare that allows dogs to thrive in a healthy and fun environment while building their confidence and it truly shows. I love being able to learn and understand more about the dogs each day at Doggo Den!

Natalie
I get a lot of satisfaction from grooming, as well as seeing a dog come out of their shell and into their own personality, I love helping dogs achieve positive change in their lives

Ashley
For me, caring for dogs is more than just a responsibility—it’s a joy and a privilege. I believe every dog deserves love, patience, and understanding as they grow into their happiest, healthiest selves.

Eduardo
Combining both passions: Dogs and Photography, is simply my definition of a perfect workspace

Elyse
Dogs have always been my passion in life. I have had an amazing 13 year career as a groomer. Joining DoggoDen and learning to train dogs as well as learn more about dog psychology and behavior just felt natural.
