Puppy Classes
Doggo Den's Puppy Classes
Doggo Den’s puppy classes were built in response to feedback from puppy owners across Southern Ontario who wanted better results and real support.
Our approach focuses on:
Structured puppy socialisation (education + energy burn)
Clear, why-based training
Adaptable methods for different personalities
A supportive community — not judgement
If you want a puppy class that prepares you for real life, not just the classroom, you’re in the right place.
Why Most Classes Fall Short
Judgement, rigid rules, and one-size-fits-all training are common in many puppy classes.
While puppy classes sound great in theory, too many fail in practice. Puppies with different temperaments are treated the same, owners are told what to do without understanding why, and real-life situations are rarely addressed. The result is high dropout rates and owners leaving feeling confused, discouraged, or unsupported.
What We Focus On
Structured puppy socialisation (energy burn + education)
Home foundations, like crate routines and house habits
Clear communication and marker systems
Managing common puppy challenges (biting, destruction, overstimulation)
Relationship building and confidence development
Introducing obedience foundations and real-life manners
Leash skills, public interactions, and healthy boundaries
Health, safety, and nutrition basics
Each week builds on the last, with time set aside for group check-ins, questions, and support. The program ends with a graduation celebration.
Puppy Skilled → Expert Program
Ages: 6–11 months | 6 weeks | Limited class size
This program is designed for older puppies entering adolescence, when things often feel harder, louder, and more confusing.
Each course includes:
• $100 in daycare credit
• Educational materials (physical + digital)
• Online recap videos and cheat sheets
What We Build On
Reinforcing foundations from earlier training
Verbal obedience and advanced leash skills
Navigating fear periods and developmental changes
Strengthening impulse control and focus
Advanced relationship and recall work
Confidence building through structured challenges
Introduction to more complex environments and experiences
The program finishes with a real-world excursion and graduation, helping puppies (and owners) put everything together outside the classroom.
Our Philosophy
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all training. We believe in adapting to the dog in front of us, explaining the “why” behind the work, and supporting owners through every stage of development.
If you’re looking for puppy classes that prepare you for real life, not just the classroom, you’re in the right place.
